The recruitment market may have been badly hit in the advertising crash, but despite that German jobs site Experteer has won €8 million (£7 million) in VC funding from digital media investors Wellington Partners, which last invested in the company in 2007.

Launched in Germany in 2006, the site now covers eight countries, gives member access to 4,800 signed-up headhunters and indexes more than 50,000 jobs—it’s not for entry-level types, though: salaries start at €60,000 (£52,500). The site plans to use its latest investment to expand further into Europe and eventually in other continents. Experteer has also been busy signing white label partnerships and added its recruitment search technology to Independent.co.uk as part of the site’s relaunch in January.
